a word from erik

Hello Everyone!

It’s hard to believe we have been sheltering in place for 5 weeks. As time goes on, I desire more and more to gather together as a youth group and open God’s word with each of you. I continue to pray for each of you and your families as we continue through this time of uncertainty.

I’m thankful for the time I was able to meet with students last Wednesday in small group zoom meetings. We will continue to meet this week. Be on the look out for emails from your small group leaders regarding the meeting times.

For the video this week, our family did a pre-message activity called, “Dance and Dodgeball.” It gave me the opportunity to test out my editing metal :). Please forgive the awkward transition from game time to message time!

Hope this is a blessing to you and your family!

1. How have you engaged with your family during this time of “shelter in place?” What activities could you engage your parents in that can build memories for your future? How can you be a faithful servant of Christ in the current context the Lord has placed you in?

2. How does God use trials in the lives of Jairus and the woman? What comfort does this provide you in the midst of trials?

3. “Daughter, your faith has made you well.” Consider the profound nature of this statement. Faith makes a person whole. Consider how your faith in Jesus will make you competent to face temptation, trials, and offer hope and encouragement to those around you.
