The Mission

The Westminster Student Ministry exists to partner with parents and our church body in discipling youth to wholeheartedly obey, worship, and love King Jesus. To this end, we aim to immerse students in six key components of discipleship at our meetings and events: Scripture, prayer, worship, service, fellowship, and evangelism. As a result, we hope to provide as many opportunities as possible for students to practice integrating these essential elements of walking with Jesus into their everyday lives, crafting a community of young people who live under the authority of Scripture, pray ardently, worship in Spirit and truth, serve sacrificially, enjoy fellowship often, and spread the gospel throughout the nations.

Meeting Times

Over the summer, the Youth Group hopes to meet for a couple events (depending on local restrictions). To learn more or to be added to our Youth Update email list, contact Eric Schwartz at or 815-762-0004, or visit our Youth Home Worship page.

During the school year:

Wednesday Evenings, 6-8 pm in the Youth Room/Gym. We begin each week with dinner on the Mezzanine at 6pm. Following the meal, we study and discuss Scripture as a large group, meet for discussion and prayer in small groups, and play a variety of games in the Gym before finishing at 8pm.

Sunday Mornings, 9:00-10:00 am in Room 1220. When we meet, we engage in an in-depth study of Scripture, with good discussion, and fun activities. On occasion, donuts and other healthy food options are provided.

If you have any questions or desire to volunteer, contact Erik Schwartz at or 815-762-0004.
