At the heart of our ministry is a belief that we are all women in need of change helping other women in need of change. We are both needy and needed. The goal of our ministry is discipleship: a renewed mind (learning to think like Jesus), a transformed life (learning to live like Jesus), and strong family bonds in our forever family, the church (learning to love like Jesus).
In order to love like Jesus, building each other up in the faith, we need to know each other and know God’s Word. Our gatherings throughout the year create space for relationships to flourish, equip women to read and understand the Bible, and highlight stories of how God is working in the women of the church to make them more like Jesus.
This fall we will be studying the book of Colossians in tandem with the men's bible study. We will use Kathleen Nielson's study and we will study the passage that Pastor O'Donnell will preach the following Sunday. Our Tuesday morning (9-11am in the church lobby) and Wednesday evening (6:30-8pm in the church lobby) gatherings will be in small groups and will include time to share about how the Sunday sermon challenged you, as well as prayer.
The books will be distributed at our first gathering (on the Tuesday and Wednesday after Labor Day) at a cost of $15 (cash or check made payable to Westminster Presbyterian Church). The money will also offset the cost of childcare for the Tuesday morning groups. If you haven’t been able to join us for previous studies, we would love to have you join us this fall.
If you plan to attend, let Emily (email@example.com) know which gathering you will join (Tuesday AM or Wednesday PM) and if childcare will be needed (with names and ages of your children).
Quarterly we meet at a woman's home from the church for a cooking demonstration (and tasting!) followed by discussion by Westminster women on important topics related to Christian growth and gospel hospitality.
