Local
Outreach Partners
After researching the many organizations serving in Elgin, the Mercy
Ministry team has decided to partner with three organizations: Riverwoods Youth
Outreach; Administer Justice; and Senior Services. In the month ahead, we will
highlight each one and list opportunities to help out. For more information on
our Mercy Ministry, contact Tom Deters deters301@comcast.net or Sharon Kim skim@judsonu.edu.
Administer Justice is a Christian
organization that offers free legal counsel, conflict resolution, and financial
advice to people who cannot afford it. This group focuses on informing and
equipping those who come for help.
Some current volunteer needs:
--Cookie bakers needed! Administer Justice offers freshly baked
cookies to clients and others at outreach events. Can you help out by baking? A
one-time batch is fine, and regular helpers would also be appreciated.
--Prayer support needed! They would like volunteers to write cards of
encouragement to people going through a hard time. People writing a card should
also pray for the person to whom it is sent.
If you would like to help Administer Justice, contact:
When you contact them, please indicate that you are from Westminster.
Thank you!
